At Benjamin Barber, we believe that self-care goes far beyond appearance. While grooming products may help you look your best, the real value of a daily routine often lies in how it makes you feel. Taking a few moments each day to care for yourself can create a sense of confidence, structure and balance, which are things that many men value but rarely talk about.
For many men, the relationship between how they feel on the inside and how they present themselves on the outside is closely connected. A well-kept appearance can boost confidence, but it can also reflect something deeper: a sense of self-respect, wellbeing and control in everyday life.

As a brand built around modern masculinity, confidence and care, we want to play a role in opening up these conversations. Our products may be part of a grooming routine, but our ambition is to support something much bigger: a healthier relationship with self-care and building confidence in men so that they can open up the conversation about men’s mental health.
Through our storytelling, product initiatives and partnerships, we encourage a more open and supportive dialogue around men’s mental health. By making resources visible for men, we want to open up the conversation and show them that help is available, and something worth talking about.
Confidence isn’t built by hiding struggles; it comes from knowing that help can be found and knowing that you yourself has possibility to offer support to others.
That is why we are proud to partner with Mind.
As an established non-profit organisation, Mind works with suicide prevention, combating social isolation, advocacy and awareness. Mind works to ensure that no one has to face mental health struggles alone, by making resources available to individuals struggling with their mental wellbeing, but they also advocate on a political level for more and better resources to be allocated to mental health matters.
Through our partnership, we aim to contribute both financially and through awareness. For example, for every Black Oak deodorant sold, we donate SEK 100 to Mind to support their work in mental health and suicide prevention. This initiative allows our customers to participate directly in supporting a cause that affects many lives, while also helping to raise awareness of the resources available through Mind.
Our partnership is also about more than donations. It is about using our platform to normalise conversations that too often remain unspoken.
By bringing mental health into spaces where men are engaged and often more than happy to share their experiences, tips and tricks with other men, we hope to help lower the barriers and make the conversation surrounding mental health as easy and natural as discussing which shaving cream to use.
Shame should never be a hindrance for men to open up about their mental health. Together with Mind, we want to create a culture where conversations feel more natural, more visible and more accessible.
